Now it was an other trunk that got put to the life for my small projects and experiments! Haha! In this video I show how to make a trunk for a table (coffee table, or even a footstool). I used the color Miss Mustard Seed ‘s milk paint Typewriter to the entire trunk, and then I scraped up frictions. Finally, I sealed the paint with Autentico ‘s Matt Varnish which worked just fine!

  2. Christopher Oleary says:

the material list in the video is wrong. the vides says you need "4 1x6x6" boards and "1 1x8x6 board" you ACTUALLY NEED "4 1x8x6 boards and 1 1x6x6 board".

  4. thehayleysofar says:

    got some tips, thank you!
I am going to make my own coffee table with shelves on the ends with drawers in between. Im nervous! LOL

  5. Villianova says:

You all put 4 1x6x6 in your video but the plans call for 4 1x8x6. Your video even has the 4 1x6x6 label over 4 1x8x6's because the single board at the bottom is clearly the smallest.

  6. Aj Martin says:

    how big is it

  7. kilgore trout says:

no way under 100. casters easily 15 bucks each then hinges another 10-15. and you havent even bought wood or stain yet.

  8. Julia Holmes-McCrary says:

beautiful storage table. where did you purchase the casters from? I'm in the process of making a similar table but can't find the casters.

  9. THEBUSYBUG says:

You guys have the middle board going one way on top and bottom of the coffee table but in the plans they are going other ways? Does it matter which ways they are put on? (The green boards in the plans). Thanks for all your wonderful projects! I'm making this for my son and his wife for Christmas! They are gonna LOVE IT!!💕

  10. THEBUSYBUG says:

Where would i purchase the Hex driver?

  11. Clifton Collins says:

    The video says 1 1×8 and 4 1×6's, but the plans say 1 1×6 and 4 1×8's :/

  12. scott rodman says:

Just wondering if the wood in the video we need to use is correct? I could be wrong but the wood you have video doesn't match your online plans. Is it 1 1×8 or 3 1×8's?

  13. No-Ones Home says:

let me get this right, pocket holes mean you won't see the screws???? 😜

  14. Cinthia Macey says:

Omg! you girls rock! I been looking for a table to store stuff. Thank you

  15. Luis Figueroa says:

What color of stain was that?

  16. Michael McCombs says:

The boards? Is it 4- 1x6x6 or 4-1x8x6 the video has 1 set of wood and the description below has another. Which set of boards are correct… Thanks, I want to make sure I get the right material…

Love what you do.  The only thing I would do different on your trunk table, is add a washer to the screws where you attach the trunk to the frame.
